What is the East Anglia Art Fund?

The East Anglia Art Fund is a unique charity which raises money through our members, sponsorship, events and selling art. We are based in Norwich and have three principal aims:

Bringing Great Art to the East

We are dedicated to raising funds to bring high quality art shows to one of the top exhibition venues in East Anglia - Norwich Castle Museum & Art Gallery. We also support exhibitions at other locations when we can. Over the last twenty years EAAF has helped to fund over fifty exhibitions of extraordinary variety. From Vanessa Bell, Gwen John and Laura Knight to Bridget Riley and Cornelia Parker: from Pre-Raphaelite Drawings to Surrealism and Pop Art, and from The Queen Mother's Collection of Watercolours to Mary Newcomb's Odd Universe - EAAF's financial support has played a crucial role in making these exhibitions happen.

Support for local artists

EAAF is also committed to supporting the local artistic community. We do this by selling art either through Open Art Shows at Norwich Castle or through exhibitions devoted to local artists at other Norfolk venues. We always welcome artist members who can promote their own websites through the EAAF website www.eastangliaartfund.org.uk

Education and Learning

Many Sixth Formers studying A Level Art never have the chance to visit an Art Gallery. EAAF raises funds to pay for these students to attend Art Master Classes led by a professional artist at Norwich Castle. Here they can experience practical workshops inspired by seeing real works of art face to face. These Art Master Classes meet a demand not met by any other local charities.

In the spirit of lifelong learning EAAF arranges talks and exhibition tours exclusively for its members.
