East Anglia Art Fund, Shirehall, Market Avenue, Norwich, NR1 3JQ
One of the East Anglia Art Fund’s main functions is to help bring top quality art exhibitions to Norfolk through fund raising and sponsorship. Most of these shows take place in the large and impressive temporary exhibition galleries at Norwich Castle. These are widely acclaimed as some of the best exhibition spaces in East Anglia and EAAF played a pivotal role in raising funds to modernise these galleries so they can fulfil the stringent requirements necessary for the display of great art - old and new. EAAF also sometimes supports exhibitions at other venues.

The final exhibition supported by EAAF in 2011 is Family Matters: The Family in British Art. This is the last of the Great British Art Debate exhibitions.
The show is curated from Norwich Castle & Art Gallery, and during the course of 2012 the exhibition will travel on to:
Millennium Galleries Sheffield ( 2 February - 29 April )
Laing Art Gallery Newcastle ( 21 May - 2 September )
Tate Britain ( 1 October - 21 December )
We British are renowned for our love of portraits. This major exhibition explores through more than four centuries, the changing image of the family in British art and how these artistic changes reflect the evolution of the family in British society.
The show is divided into five thematic sections. Inheritance; Childhood; Parenting; Couples and Kinship; Home - and all five sections include portraits from long ago and from modern times. They reveal a constantly changing array of families portrayed in an ever wider variety of medium, including now most often via film and photography.
