This exhibition celebrates some of Norwich Castle’s new acquisitions over the last decade. The display includes works previously unseen and demonstrates the range of works of art that now have a place in the permanent collection. Watercolour in Britain: Travelling with Colour A major exhibition of 100 top watercolours by leading artists such as Girtin, Turner and Cotman, then on through the 19th century via Edward Lear and Rossetti to John Singer Sargent, John Piper, Elizabeth Blackadder & Anish Kapoor in the late 20th century. Loans from Tate Britain, the Laing Art Gallery, Newcastle and Museums Sheffield. This exhibition is part of a Heritage Lottery Fund partnership project entitled The Great British Art Debate.

The Art of Faith In collaboration with the University of East Anglia, Norwich Castle is curating a glittering exhibition of religious art works from many faiths which represent the history of religious beliefs in Norfolk from prehistory to the present day. Exhibits will include paintings, sculptures, illuminated manuscripts, silver, stained glass and textiles.
