A wonderful opportunity to take a tour with Kate Thaxton, Curator of the Royal Norfolk Regimental Collections, of her exhibition Armistice: Legacy of the Great War in Norfolk.
This major centenary exhibition at Norwich Castle explores the breadth and depth of the impact of the First World War on Norwich and Norfolk. The physical impact on the county; coastal defences, changes in agriculture and industrial transformation are revealed alongside the stories of communities and individuals whose lives were transformed by the War. Armistice provides a fitting finale to four years of centenary commemorations and research by individuals, local history societies and museums around the county, and puts the national story into local context, providing an opportunity to discover the particular impact of the War on Norfolk.
Kate will be leading us through the exhibition in two groups, Tour 1 at 2pm and Tour 2 at 3.30pm - we will all come together for tea, cake and Madeira at 3pm!
Tour 1 is now sold out, places are available for Tour 2, starting with tea at 3pm.
Tickets are £10 per person and exclusive to EAAF members.
