Join us for a wonderful day of exhibitions tours and talks with James Glennie, Curator of the Holt Festival Exhibitions 2018.

We will begin our day at St Andrew's Church with a viewing and talk by James about HEAD to HEAD Dora Gordine, Jacob Epstein & Contemporaries - an exhibition illustrating the Picasso-led art movement between the wars, away from traditional Roman & Greek influences, towards the exotic.

We then move on to the Auden Theatre Foyer at Greshams School and a viewing of the remarkable exhibition Sir John Hurt as Artist. Sir John's work has never before been exhibited and this will be a very rare opportunity to see his paintings!

A delicious lunch by Anchors Away follows in a marquee on the lawns, accompanied by drinks provided courtesy of the Holt Festival’s principal art sponsor, Lycetts.

After lunch we have the opportunity to hear Eileen Cooper RA in Conversation with Anwen Hurt. Eileen was the first female Keeper of the Royal Academy in 250 years.

Our marvellous day concludes with a viewing of BLITHE SPIRIT: The Blyth Estuary – A Creative Haven at the Garden Studio!
