Join us for an end of year celebration focussing on two marvellous exhibitions reflecting life in Norfolk and the Netherlands in the mid 17th century.
The afternoon will begin with a talk by Dr Francesca Vanke, Keeper of Fine Art and Curator of Decorative Art, Norfolk Museums Service, and curator of the forthcoming exhibition The Paston Treasure: Riches and Rarities of the Known World. Francesca will introduce this fascinating project and reveal some of the secrets of the painting, looking in particular at other examples of Dutch still life painting of the period.
After a slice of cake and a glass of madeira, we will be treated to a tour of the current exhibition, Rembrandt: Lightening the Darkness, with co-curator Dr Giorgia Bottinelli, Curator of Historic Art, Norfolk Museums Service.
Not to be missed! £10 per person. Numbers are limited, so to book your place please contact info@eastangliaartfund.org.uk
