Join Paris Agar and Amanda Geitner for their introductions to the exhibitions The Square Box on the Hill and Inheritance.
The Square Box on the Hill is curated by Paris Agar, Norfolk Museums Service, from the wonderful works unearthed in the research for the Castle Keep project - Gateway to Medieval England. Paris' exhibition illustrates Norwich Castle's history through a stunning mixture of prints, models, paintings, architectural plans, memorabilia and archives, many of which have not been on display before.
Inheritance is the 5th Norwich Castle Open Art Show developed in collaboration with EAAF. This year 129 works were selected from a record-breaking 895 submission by judges Penelope Hughes-Stanton – Director of North House Gallery, Manningtree; Sandy Heslop – Professor of Visual Arts, University of East Anglia; Lloyd De Beer - The Ferguson Curator of Medieval Europe, The British Museum.
Amanda Geitner, Director of EAAF will show you the exhibition and introduce you to the brilliant variety of approaches the artists have taken to the theme of Inheritance.
