An exclusive opportunity to see Damien Hirst at Houghton Hall: Colour Space Paintings and Outdoor Sculptures

This spring, a series of new paintings by Damien Hirst entitled Colour Space will be installed in the State Rooms at Houghton Hall, transforming William Kent’s historic interiors. The Colour Space paintings have not been shown before and are a development of the iconic Spot Paintings which are amongst Hirst’s most recognised works.

One of the most influential and controversial artists of our time, Hirst has since the late 1980s, used a varied practice of installation, sculpture, painting and drawing to explore the complex relationships between art, beauty, religion, science, life and death. This groundbreaking exhibition will also include a number of the artist’s most celebrated sculptures, installed throughout the 18th-century house and gardens. The exhibition is curated Mario Codognato and forms part of the visual arts programme of Norfolk & Norwich Festival 2018.

Our evening will include a private view of the exhibition, finishing with a drinks reception hosted by the Marquess & Marchioness of Cholmondeley. This event promises to be very popular so do book early. Tickets are £35 per person.
