In Their Space is a three-person exhibition featuring works by sculptors Alison Cooke, Hannah Honeywill, and Rebecca Griffiths. After their Royal Society of Sculptors residencies at The Red House, these artists bring their unique perspectives to Suffolk and London, sharing lesser-known stories about The Red House, Britten and Pears, and the local environment.

Rebecca Griffiths’ sculptures explore the megastructure of the Sizewell B nuclear power station and reflects on its current and future impact on the Suffolk coastal landscape.

Alison Cooke's art focuses on Britten’s carer, Rita Thompson, and the deep bond between carer and composer. Using local clay from Aldeburgh, she highlights the importance of caregivers.

Through sculptures and drawings, Hannah Honeywill explores the open secret of Britten and Pears’ relationship. Her work resonates with the experiences of LGBTQIA+ individuals navigating public spaces.

In Their Space will be exhibited at Britten and Pears Arts, The Dovecote Studio, Snape Maltings, Opening Event Saturday 26th October 2pm - 4pm. The exhibition is open from 26th October 2024 - 5th January 2025, 10am - 4pm. It will then move to The Royal Society of Sculptors, Dora House, London, in spring 2025.
